Pride Health is hiring a Histotechnologist III to support our client's medical facility based in Lakewood, CO This is a 3 -month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization. Job Title: Histotechnologist III Location: Lakewood, CO Pay Range: $25-$29.40 per hour Schedule: 3rd shift. Mon - Fri. 10pm - 6:30am / M-F 12: 00 AM :8:30 AM, TUES - SAT 2:00 AM 10:30 AM Duration: 3 Months + The salary is determined by an individual's level of experience, as well as any relevant licenses and certifications they may hold. Are you a skilled Histotechnician ready to take your career to the next level in a high-performing, state-of-the-art laboratory? We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Histotechnician to join our CAP-certified pathology lab. Under the guidance of a Senior or Lead Histotechnologist, you'll contribute to delivering high-quality diagnostic materials and ensure timely, accurate pathology results. What You'll Do: Perform all routine and special paraffin histotechnology tasks, including embedding, cutting, staining, and tissue processing Conduct accurate gross descriptions of tissue samples Operate laboratory instruments and troubleshoot issues according to standard procedures Perform and document quality control checks on histological methods and processes Ensure all test results are accurately recorded, reviewed, and released in the Laboratory Information System Recognize testing errors or discrepancies and assist in problem-solving Support fellow team members in identifying and analyzing abnormal results Meet productivity and turnaround time benchmarks for both routine and STAT cases What We're Looking For: Associate degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related Life Science Completion of an accredited Histology training program (minimum 720 hours) Current state licensure (required for CA, FL, NY) Meets CLIA personnel standard requirements Demonstrated skills in microtomy, grossing, processing, embedding, cutting, and staining Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on histotechnology experience Pride Global offers eligible employees comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance, and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program legal support, auto ,home insurance, pet insurance, and employee discounts with preferred vendors.
