Full Time Nurse manager
Job Summary:
The Acute Dialysis Nurse is responsible for providing hospital-based dialysis treatments, maintaining clearance and certifications, and adhering to protocols at contracted facilities. The role involves working closely with nephrologists and healthcare teams, managing dialysis equipment, and ensuring patient safety throughout treatments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform dialysis treatments in order of urgency (ICU, ER, etc.) as directed by medical staff.
- Communicate critical issues and patient updates to nephrologists via secure channels.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of treatments using hospital-approved systems.
- Respond to dialysis-related alarms promptly and provide continuous patient monitoring.
- Supervise and manage dialysis equipment, ensuring it meets operational standards.
- Take on-call responsibilities and respond to calls within specified timeframes.
- Follow Universal Precautions and Aseptic Techniques in patient care.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a valid California RN license.
- Minimum of 3 months dialysis experience (critical care experience preferred).
- BLS and/or ACLS certification.
