Description
"Prepare and prep for cardiac caths, PCI(STEMI ) and other procedures such as peripheral vascular, pacemaker, interventional radiology procedures, etc.
Able to monitor, document and calculate hemodynamic data
Provide procedural assistance to physician, pre, intra and post procedure
Assess and manage access site, and inform physician
Adhere to On call protocol for Cath lab
Prepare patient for procedures"
Skills
Licensed Radiologic Technologist
RCIS certification preferred
BLS, ACLS & IABP experience required
Cardiac Cath lab experience required"
Education
High School Diploma or GED required
An important qualifier for facilities Cath lab CVT/RT positions are that they have IR / Vascular experience as well as Cath ( Cardiac).
STEMI call and elective PCI a must.
Call shifts 10-15 a month including weekends, must reside within 30 min of Chilton Medical Center.
4 (10 hr.) shifts a week Mon - FRI
Lab open 7a-6p (can be asked to arrive earlier to accommodate cases or stay later )
