POSITION SUMMARY:
The Roll-Off Driver, under the direction of the Water Treatment Plant Manager, will be responsible for driving a truck with a capacity of more than 3 tons, for transporting materials to and from specified destinations by performing the following duties. The safe and efficient operation of a roll-off truck to transport and deliver various materials to and from job sites. They primarily haul and dispose of large containers used for construction debris, solid waste, and other materials as needed. Roll-off Drivers play a vital role in maintaining a clean and organized environment while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Safely operate vacuum trucks and related equipment.
Ensure vehicle is in good working condition and perform routine checks and maintenance.
Follow all traffic and safety regulations.
Drive to job sites to collect liquid and solid waste materials.
Operate vacuum equipment to remove waste from designated areas.
Ensure proper disposal or transport of collected materials to designated locations.
Perform daily inspections of the truck and vacuum equipment.
Report any mechanical issues or needed repairs to the supervisor.
Clean and maintain equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
Communicate professionally with clients and address any questions or concerns.
Follow client instructions and ensure that services are completed to their satisfaction.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines for waste handling and vehicle operation.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to waste management.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Maintain accurate records of waste collected, vehicle usage, and maintenance.
Complete necessary paperwork and reports as required.
Work effectively with other team members and supervisors.
Assist with training or guiding less experienced drivers if needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED
Class A Commercial Driver's License with Tanker endorsement
1 year of Tanker experiences
Valid, current Medical Card in good standing.
Class A Driver's License with a clean driving record.
Must satisfy DOT background check and drug screen criteria.
Wage Range: 26.01 - 28.90 per hour
