Respiratory Therapist - CVICU

Join our team as a skilled Respiratory Therapist specializing in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). In this role, you will provide critical respiratory support to patients recovering from cardiovascular surgeries or experiencing severe heart conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' respiratory conditions and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the CVICU team.
  • Operate and manage life-support equipment such as mechanical ventilators to ensure optimal respiratory function.
  • Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy and aerosol medications, as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust treatment plans based on clinical responses.
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory care techniques and disease management strategies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Work Environment:
  • The role is based in hospital CVICUs where respiratory therapists work closely with critically ill cardiovascular patients requiring intensive respiratory support.
