Job Summary The Loan Program Assistant supports the Lending Director and loan program team in fulfilling the agencies' goals and objectives. S/he adheres to the organization's mission to assist under-served small business entrepreneurs in the Tri-County area. This person must be motivated, take initiative, be a creative problem solver, good with data management and excellent with Excel and other databases and applications. This role requires exceptional organizational skills and someone who can work independently as well as part of a team. Duties/Responsibilities: - Provides high-level administrative support and assistance to the Director of Lending, and members of Lending department.
- Performs clerical and administrative tasks including drafting letters/emails, invoices, reports, data tables, excel spreadsheets and other documents.
- Receive and review loan applications, input data into the loan origination system, and ensure all necessary information is complete.
- Gather supporting documents from clients/borrowers.
- Assist with maintaining organized loan files, including electronic and physical documents, ensuring compliance with record keeping standards.
- Contact client/borrowers to request additional information, answer questions regarding loan status, and schedule appointments.
- Assist loan officers with the underwriting process by providing relevant data and preparing loan packages for review.
- Assist Loan Documentation/Servicing as needed.
- Assist with inputting new clients into our database.
- Answers agency phones as needed and assists walk in clients.
- Provides excellent customer service for clients, employees and community members.
- Conduct self with high level of integrity, dependability, commitment and work ethic.
- Performs additional related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

- Extensive knowledge of office administration, clerical procedures, and recordkeeping systems.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software with the ability to learn new or updated software.
- Ability to accept constructive feedback and to work collaboratively with others to identify and facilitate improvements to the programs
- Experience and skill in working with the public and communicating in a culturally competent manner-

- Bilingual English - Spanish
Preferred Skills/Abilities: - Performs interpretation and translation services for the agency.
Education & Experience: - High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
- At least one year of related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
