Description
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
In this role, you will be responsible for U.S. LNG sourcing, supplier selection, ongoing P&L analysis, and commercial project development. You use your understanding of Stabilis' LNG requirements to continually analyze market trends in support of a comprehensive sourcing plan. The key to success in this role is managing the relationships with our LNG suppliers, building new relationships, and strengthening our position within the market.
This role will have accountability for the LNG supplier strategy, in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders to manage relationships, implement enhancements to existing contracts, communicate changes, and update & maintain contracts. Using supply acumen this role will support the "bid" phase of project development, specifically supplier selection for projects across North America, Latin American, and the Caribbean. Each month a commercial analysis on all active P&L's will be conducted and will be evaluated on the monthly outputs from the CRM tool, SalesForce.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage the relationships with all U.S. LNG suppliers in Stabilis' network.
• Ensure current agreements are in place with all suppliers in the U.S. network.
• Research market trends and provide analysis of the fuels market including natural gas, diesel, propane, and other
alternative fuels.
• Develop tools & benchmarks to support commercial decision-making during proposal development.
• Develop and maintain a broader supply strategy, anticipate opportunities, and keep key stakeholders informed.
• Select supply sourcing blend for commercial opportunities.
• Negotiate to maximize LNG availability, value and cost savings while also lowering risk.
• Monthly P&L and supply analysis of all active projects.
• Ongoing reporting out of CRM (SalesForce).
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or technical discipline. Military experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• 3-5 years of strategic sourcing experience, supplier relationship and performance management, contract negotiation, spend assessment, contract negotiation, and/or business analysis.
• 3-5 years of P&L ownership and/or analysis.
• The ability to think strategically, conceptually, and analytically to assess problems, identify and consider potential solutions, and make timely recommendations.
• Ability to build relationships and engage with stakeholders across the organization, with a collaborative, service-oriented approach.
• Customer-focused with excellent written, listening, and verbal communication skills.
• Data analytics, sourcing, procurement systems, and customer service.
• Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite; specifically, Excel.
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
• 3-5 years proven track record in strategic procurement.
• Experience with liquified natural gas (LNG), industrial cryogenic gases (nitrogen, oxygen, argon, hydrogen), natural gas, propane, or other fuels
• Experience working with cryogenic logistics in operations, supply chain or a logistics function.
• Robust commercial and analytical acumen; able to distill meaningful implications from market intelligence and internal data and translate to impactful actions for the business.
• Proficient in data analysis and visualization, reporting, and business intelligence tools.
• Experience producing deliverables from CRM, preferably SalesForce.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
• Activities involve standing, sitting, and driving.
• Office equipment will be used including copy machines, telephones, keyboards, and computers. Skills and activities require fine motor dexterity, good vision, good hearing, and clear speaking.

WORK SCHEDULE:
The position is a full-time position and is based in Stabilis' corporate headquarters in Houston, Texas. The position is considered in the office unless on business travel as this is not considered a hybrid schedule. Travel required is approximately 20% of the time.
Salary Description
$100,000.00-$130,000.00
