Live-In Nurse/Aide (Private Family)

Hourly: $40 - 45 per hour


Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, with flexibility to work weekends as needed
Travel: Primarily based in Boca Raton, FL (with summer travel to NYC, the Hamptons, and NJ)

Overview:
A private family is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and professional Live-In Nurse or Aide to support the daily care of their 74-year-old mother. The ideal candidate will have experience working with elderly clients, particularly those managing depression and anxiety, and be able to provide both medical and emotional support in a calm, patient-centered manner.

This is a live-in role that requires full-time commitment during the week and flexibility for occasional weekend coverage. The position includes travel during the summer months between New York City, the Hamptons, and New Jersey, with the principal residence in Boca Raton, Florida for the remainder of the year.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily care and companionship to the principal's mother
  • Assist with medication reminders and monitor general well-being
  • Support mental health and emotional needs with compassion and patience
  • Prepare healthy meals and encourage regular hydration and self-care routines
  • Keep living areas clean, organized, and comfortable
  • Liaise with family members and medical professionals as needed
  • Assist with mobility and accompany her on walks or light outings
  • Travel with the family during the summer season and provide consistent care across locations

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience caring for elderly individuals in a private home setting
  • CNA or nursing certification strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting individuals with depression, anxiety, or related conditions
  • Warm, empathetic, and patient demeanor
  • Able to live-in full-time and travel with the family
  • Strong communication and discretion
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Strong professional references required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
