Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery materials related to securities litigation cases.
- Analyze complex financial documents, including SEC filings, financial statements, and trading records.
- Assist in preparing for depositions, hearings, and trials, including witness preparation and examination.
- Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide legal advice to clients.
- Manage document review and electronic discovery processes effectively and efficiently.
- Stay abreast of developments in securities laws, regulations, and judicial decisions impacting client matters.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Bar admission in California.
- 2+ years of experience practicing securities litigation at a reputable law firm.
- Strong understanding of federal and state securities laws, regulations, and procedures.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and legal documents.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with arbitration and mediation related to securities disputes.
