Litigation Secretary
Location: Palo Alto, CA (Onsite)
Pay: $35 to $55 per hour

LHH is working with a regional law firm in seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Litigation Secretary to join their team in Palo Alto, CA. This role will be responsible for directly assisting an assigned group of local attorneys while also providing global team support with various administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in civil litigation defense, particularly in complex litigation cases, and will demonstrate exceptional organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
E-file documents in state and federal courts.
Schedule depositions, hearings, appointments, and legal proceedings as needed.
Organize and manage case files, including opening, closing, and maintaining records.
Maintain and track trial and discovery deadlines on attorney calendars.
Provide direct administrative support to assigned attorneys, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
Perform daily time entry, process expense reimbursements, and manage calendaring and scheduling.
Manage, edit, and format legal documents with a high degree of accuracy.
Assist in filing court documents and ensuring compliance with litigation deadlines.
Arrange travel accommodations and itineraries for attorneys as needed.
Generate, edit, and post client invoices in a timely manner.
Proactively learn and utilize internal systems and processes to streamline operations and find innovative solutions.
Preserve the confidentiality of firm and client information, ensuring compliance with security protocols.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree required.
A minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in civil litigation defense, with exposure to complex litigation cases.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and legal administrative software.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.
Pay Details: $35.00 to $55.00 per hour
