Litigation SecretaryLocation: Charlotte, NC Full-Time Hybrid
Overview: Seeking an experienced Litigation Secretary to support attorneys with document preparation, court filings, calendar management, and general administrative tasks. This hybrid role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency in legal software and court procedures.
Key Responsibilities: - Draft, format, and proofread legal documents (briefs, pleadings, correspondence).
- E-file documents with state and federal courts.
- Maintain client files and manage attorney calendars (Outlook & CompuLaw).
- Coordinate travel, process reimbursements, and manage timekeeping entries.
- Review invoices, prepare check requests, and assist with billing.
- Provide phone support and occasional receptionist coverage.
Requirements: - High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
- 5+ years of litigation secretary experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CompuLaw, Lexis Nexis, PACER, and document management systems.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology and litigation procedures.
- Typing speed of 65+ WPM; shorthand a plus.
- OSHA and civil litigation experience preferred.
