We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate would have extensive experience processing legal documents via the New York State Courts Electronic Filing System (NYSCEF) and delivering documents to courts and other administrative agencies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • File and retrieve documents with civil courts.
  • Docket judgements.
  • Retrieve documents from government agencies.
  • Electronically process (i.e., E-file) legal documents.
  • Interact with court personnel and attorneys.
  • Perform delivery and/or pick up of legal documents when necessary.
  • Assist in organizing attorney mail.
  • Copying and scanning documents.
  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  • Adhere to all of the Firm's policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned on an as needed basis.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:


  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Paralegal at a real estate law firm, with a strong background of E-Filing (NYSCEF).
  • A Bachelor's Degree, or a Paralegal Certification, preferred.
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule.
  • Must be computer savvy and have hands-on familiarity with Adobe Acrobat.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Quick learner with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to independently multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and writing skills to communicate with a diverse group of attorneys and staff.

The compensation will be dependent on several factors including but not limited to years of experience involving these roles and responsibilities, years of experience within the industry, education, etc.
