We are plaintiffs-only firm looking for a Litigation Paralegal to support our attorneys in the Shreveport office throughout all phases of the litigation process, from case inception through trial and post-trial proceedings. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple deadlines.


Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation from initial pleadings through discovery, trial preparation, and post-trial matters
  • Draft and prepare legal documents including complaints, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence
  • Organize and maintain case files and litigation databases
  • Conduct legal research and analyze case law, statutes, and regulations
  • Coordinate with clients to gather information and documents
  • Prepare, organize, and manage document productions
  • Schedule depositions, hearings, and client meetings
  • Prepare attorneys for court appearances, depositions, and client meetings
  • Attend trials and hearings to provide on-site support
  • Coordinate with expert witnesses, court reporters, and outside vendors
  • Manage electronic filing of court documents
  • Track court deadlines and maintain case calendars

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of litigation paralegal experience on Louisiana state court cases and Federal cases
  • Strong knowledge of court rules, procedures, and filing requirements
  • Proficiency in legal research tools (Westlaw, LexisNexis)
  • Experience with case management and e-discovery software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Capacity to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality

This job is on-site only in Shreveport, Louisiana. This is not a remote position.
