Job Title: Litigation Paralegal

Location: Scottsdale, AZ

Work Model: Full-Time, Onsite

Salary: $70,000 - $110,000, Commensurate with Experience

Reporting Structure: Report to Lead Attorney


About the Company: Our client is an alternative business structure (ABS) law firm, founded by the CEO of a leading litigation finance company. They combine legal expertise with financial resources to deliver innovative legal services, particularly in tort and breach of contract litigation. Their ABS model allows them to provide comprehensive support to clients nationwide.


About the Role: They're looking for a skilled Litigation Paralegal to join the team and help drive cases forward from start to finish. In this role, you'll manage key details at every stage - from initial investigations through pleadings, discovery, dispositive motions, and trial preparation.

You'll work closely with the lead attorney to conduct legal research, draft substantive briefs, organize and maintain case files, prepare exhibits, assist in depositions and hearings, and help coordinate communication with opposing parties and witnesses. You'll play a critical role in building strong cases and supporting successful outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft ready-to-file legal documents, including substantive/dispositive motions and discovery requests and responses.
  • Monitor investments for material developments by reviewing case dockets and understanding litigation steps.
  • Review, categorize, and interpret data, reports, responses, and records from clients or opposing counsel.
  • Coordinate communication among clients, claims teams, and attorneys throughout the litigation process.
  • Prepare, organize, and file legal documents and correspondence.
  • Manage attorneys' caseloads and track case progress.
  • Conduct legal research and update internal databases.
  • Assist with case preparation, including organizing documents, preparing witnesses, and assembling materials for review.
  • Attend and assist with depositions and hearings, including preparing and organizing exhibits.
  • File legal documents with trial courts, ADR proceedings, and appellate courts.
  • Calculate and calendar all applicable deadlines.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Civil Litigation Paralegal.
  • Strong research, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Experience preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Filevine a plus.
  • Familiarity with tort and breach of contract cases strongly preferred.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
