Position Overview
The Litigation Paralegal will assist attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, including discovery, trial preparation, and post-trial proceedings. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and organize case files and documents
- Coordinate with attorneys on scheduling and case deadlines
- Draft and review legal documents and correspondence
- Manage court filings and service of process
- Support document production and review
- Assist in trial preparation and logistics
- Perform legal research and cite checking
- Track and update docket items and calendars
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 4 years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm
- Familiarity with New York and New Jersey court rules and procedures
- Experience with electronic filing systems and legal research tools
- Proficiency with litigation software (e.g., Relativity, Trial Director)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and handle confidential information
