Job Description: Plaintiff Litigation Firm seeks an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their team. The ideal Litigation Paralegal possesses between 5-10+ years of experience, preferably in mass torts, has demonstrated knowledge of conducting document review via Everlaw, propounding and responding to discovery, and familiarity working with federal cases.
Litigation Paralegal Job Duties:
- Draft, review, and finalize legal documents, including discovery requests, responses, and correspondence in fire-related litigation matters
- Prepare Case Management Orders (CMOs) and manage Electronically Stored Information (ESI) protocols in coordination with attorneys and experts
- Conduct document review and case analysis using Everlaw, including tagging, redacting, and organizing key evidence for litigation strategy
- Coordinate and schedule Zoom meetings, depositions, expert calls, and client conferences across multiple time zones
- Support federal claims processes, including FEMA-related matters, particularly for cases on the New Mexico docket
- Perform detailed case file organization and evidence tracking, maintaining accuracy across large volumes of litigation data
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for drafting, tracking deadlines, and managing discovery logs and calendars
- Maintain hard and electronic file systems manually, as no case management software (CMS) is used
- Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit binders, witness coordination, and logistics
- Communicate professionally with clients, government agencies, and opposing counsel, ensuring timely follow-ups and status updates
Litigation Paralegal Candidate Requirements:
- 5-10+ years of plaintiff litigation experience required, mass tort litigation strongly preferred
- ABA-approved paralegal certificate or written declaration/attestation required
