Salary Range: $70,000 to $95,000 annually, depending on experience, plus generous benefits (discussed below)

Position Description: We are seeking defense litigation paralegals with experience in civil litigation matters. This role involves supporting all stages of litigation, from case preparation to trial, ensuring the smooth and organized handling of legal documents, research, and case management
Responsibilities:
- Organizing exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices
- Gathering relevant information from a variety of sources
- Regularly communicating with partners, associates, paralegals, clients, and opposing counsel
- Conducting background checks, social media investigations, and litigation searches
- Preparing subpoenas for medical records, billing records, radiology records, employment records, workers compensation records, and other entities
- Preparing comprehensive medical chronologies and Howell analyses
- Conducting research on jury verdicts and settlements
- Summarizing written discovery and document productions
- Communicating with experts regarding materials for review, expert deposition testimony, and trial
- Preparing trial documents, exhibits, demonstrative evidence, and witness binders
- Liaising between trial team and internal/external third parties
- Assisting with voir dire, jury selection, and witness preparation
- 1500 billable hours
Skills & Requirements:
- Paralegal certificate from an ABA accredited law school
- 3+ years of experience preferred
- Familiarity with billable timekeeping
- Excellent writer with attention to detail
- Effective oral communication skills
- Must be a team player with exceptional personal interaction skills and responsiveness
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Applicable knowledge of California Code of Civil Procedure and Federal Rule of Civil Procedure
- Trial preparation and trial support experience is preferred
