Litigation Paralegal - Los Angeles (Hybrid)
I am recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded law firm seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join its Los Angeles office. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive paralegal to support a dynamic team of 5-6 attorneys across labor & employment, bankruptcy, and general litigation matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with case management, legal research, and client interviews.
- Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
- Support all phases of discovery, including document collection, review, and e-filing.
- Utilize eDiscovery databases such as Opus2 or Relativity to manage litigation documents.
- Maintain litigation calendars and assist in deposition, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation.
- Conduct legal cite-checking, fact-checking, and proofreading of legal documents.
- Organize and manage case files, exhibits, and evidence.
- Communicate with attorneys daily and ensure deadlines are met.
Qualifications:
- 3-4 years of California litigation paralegal experience in a law firm.
- Paralegal certificate or bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with eDiscovery platforms (Opus2, Relativity, etc.).
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal technology platforms.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in managing workload.
- Trial experience and attending court appearances/depositions a plus.
Additional Details:
- Compensation: $70K - $95K DOE (nonexempt).
- Hybrid role - flexibility required for in-office training and department needs.
