Litigation Paralegal


Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of Federal and State electronic filings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
  • Prepare, proofread and format legal documents, pleadings, motions, and briefs with attention to detail.
  • Conduct legal research and assist with summarizing relevant case law and statutes.
  • Assist with discovery requests, responses, and depositions by gathering and organizing materials.
  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files, ensuring efficient document management.
  • Prepare trial exhibits and presentations, utilizing organizational skills to anticipate attorney needs.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and court personnel in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Manage attorney calendars and schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks and deadlines.
  • Assist with scheduling depositions, hearings, and meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by attorneys and supervisors.
  • Assist with overflow from other groups.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant or Paralegal or related role.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
  • Must be technologically advanced
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to providing exceptional client service.
  • Eager to learn and grow
  • Knowledge of matrimonial legal issues would be helpful
