Key Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of litigation, including case management from inception to trial and appeal.
- Conduct legal research and draft case summaries, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
- Manage and organize case files, including electronic filing (state and federal courts), docketing, and calendaring deadlines.
- Coordinate and assist in the preparation of depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
- Review, analyze, and summarize discovery materials, medical records, and deposition transcripts.
- Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, witness files, and demonstrative evidence.
- Manage case deadlines, and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures.
- Communicate with clients, experts, witnesses, and opposing counsel as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5+ years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense, commercial litigation, or appellate law.
- Strong understanding of state and federal court rules and procedures.
- Experience with case management software and legal research tools (Relativity, Westlaw, LexisNexis, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic court filing systems (PACER, ECF, Texas eFile, etc.).
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
