Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a highly experienced Litigation Paralegal to join a commercial law firm in Dallas. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' of experience with litigation, including substantial trial experience, and the ability to manage dockets independently. Proficiency in eDiscovery, Westlaw, and Court Alert or other docketing systems is required. Familiarity with Case Logistix and Disco is a plus. This opportunity is full time, direct hire, and hybrid (3 days in, 2 days remote) after the first 90-days.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain calendar and deadline reminder systems
  • Meet with attorneys and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects; client meetings as required
  • Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and discovery; complete filings on PACER and Filetime
  • Research and analyze statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources providing a written analysis to attorneys
  • Interview clients and witnesses; prepare summaries of their statements
  • Prepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files
  • Assist with trial preparation; attend trials and hearings as needed
  • Develop and maintain records regarding billable hours

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or two-year Paralegal Certificate required
  • Trial attendance required
  • Understanding of legal language and principles, research methods, court pleadings and processes, and other related matters
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, docketing systems, and eDiscovery platforms; Disco and Logistix a plus
