Position Overview
A well established Litigation Law Firm in Sacramento is looking to find an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary/Paralegal. This role involves providing comprehensive legal assistance and paralegal support to a dedicated team of attorneys. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of litigation processes and be adept at managing multiple tasks with precision and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary legal assistance and paralegal support to 2-3 attorneys, and others as needed.
- Assist attorneys in preparing, finalizing, serving, and filing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Heavy litigation calendaring of court deadlines.
- Prepare and manage correspondence, including emails, letters, and other written communications to clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
- Assist in trial preparation, including organizing evidence, exhibits, and witness lists.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in cases as needed.
- Conduct some legal research as needed.
- Perform other administrative duties as required.
Qualifications
- Paralegal Certificate or other qualification under B&P Code 6450.
- Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of labor and employment law preferred.
- Strong understanding of state and federal court processes, including e-filing, court rules, forms, calendaring, pleadings, discovery procedures, and trial preparation.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional writing and proofreading skills.
- Strong work ethic, initiative, and ability to work independently.

This position offers competitive compensation with a pay range of $30 to $40 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
