LHH is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Litigation Legal Assistant to join a prestigious law firm in Miami, FL. In this role, you will support attorneys and paralegals by managing various administrative tasks and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role and possess strong organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain archives on the firm's File site, including docket management, correspondence, and subfolders for pleadings and discovery.
- Arrange meetings, conferences, and depositions, including logistical setup (coffee, breakfast, lunch, etc.).
- Coordinate the transport of exhibits and other materials for hearings and trials per attorney or paralegal requests.
- Process invoices, check requests, and handle attorney requests for reimbursement.
- Provide travel support and manage logistical arrangements for attorneys.
- Assist attorneys with administrative tasks, such as travel time entry, billing requests, proofreading, sorting, and delivering mail.
- Contact and schedule court reporters and videographers for hearings and depositions.
- File, organize, scan, copy, and fax legal documents in a timely manner.
- Assist with printing requests as needed.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience as a paralegal or legal secretary.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Ability to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and colleagues.
- Demonstrates a courteous, professional demeanor at all times.
- Superior written and oral communication skills.
