Position Overview:
Adams & Martin Group is partnering with a well-regarded law firm in Colorado to find a skilled Litigation Legal Assistant. This role presents an exciting opportunity to support attorneys in a fast-paced legal setting, assisting with a range of litigation tasks. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the discretion necessary to manage sensitive legal matters.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Litigation Legal Assistant, you will provide essential support throughout the litigation process. Your duties will include case coordination, managing scheduling needs, and maintaining communication with clients, court officials, and attorneys.
Primary Duties:
- Draft, format, proofread, and finalize legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
- Electronically file legal documents with courts, ensuring compliance with all state and federal deadlines and requirements.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and vendors.
- Promptly relay inquiries and messages to attorneys.
- Coordinate and manage attorneys' calendars, including court dates, depositions, client meetings, and other deadlines.
- Schedule and confirm appointments with clients, witnesses, and court reporters.
- Prepare and track expense reports and billing documentation.
- Monitor deadlines and follow up on outstanding tasks to ensure timely completion.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, ideally supporting multiple attorneys in a mid- to large-sized law firm or a similar setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with legal document management software such as iManage.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, processes, and protocols.
Work Hours:
This position requires working Monday through Friday.
Benefits:
This role offers the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule, with up to four work-from-home days per month.
Compensation:
The salary for this position ranges from $75,000 to $85,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
