The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a strong understanding of litigation procedures in both state and federal courts.


Key Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Assist attorneys with case management, including drafting, proofreading, and formatting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
  • E-file documents in state and federal courts and ensure compliance with filing deadlines.
  • Manage case calendars, track deadlines, and schedule depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Coordinate with clients, witnesses, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
  • Organize and maintain case files (both electronic and hard copy) and retrieve necessary documents efficiently.
  • Conduct basic legal research and compile case-related information.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as billing, expense reports, and correspondence.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years as a litigation legal assistant
  • Education: Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, or a paralegal certificate is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and case management software. Experience with e-filing systems in Texas courts is required.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of litigation procedures, court rules, and legal terminology.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask, and a strong work ethic.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and staff while managing individual responsibilities efficiently.
