Litigation Docketing & Court Services Clerk for top tier global law firm in Washington, DC. This is a fully remote position. Candidates can live in a number of U.S. states but must be able to work pacific time zone hours.(Preferred locations are San Francisco, Los Angeles, Palo Alto, NYC or DC). Candidate is responsible for providing first level support for the automated docket and calendar system and procedures in California including state and federal cases including data entry, daily maintenance, and communications with case teams. Duties: Enters docket dates from court documents and correspondence and ensures appropriate maintenance of data in the CourtAlert system. Daily preparation/distribution of reports from the docketing system including weekly deadline reports and other case- specific reports. Provides support/oversight for information workflows related to scheduling, calendaring, and procedures in litigation matters in the California offices, and as needed for other offices. Evaluates processes and recommends improvements related to docketing for California cases. Responds to requests related to litigation scheduling, court rules, etc. First-level support for California state and federal ECF, other pleadings and court papers filing, and case record file access and administration. As available, provides support for general paralegal tasks. Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree required. Must have at least two years of docketing or similar litigation calendar database experience at large law firm. Hands-on experience with a strong working knowledge of the CourtAlert system. Working knowledge of California and federal court rules, including local rules of the various courts in California. Excellent organizational, interpersonal skills, a strong service orientation, strong written communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and a willingness to work reasonable overtime as needed. Prior experience as a paralegal is a plus. Salary is commensurate with experience, $65k 100k . The salary range noted applies to locations within 50 miles commuting distance from a US office. Other locations will impact salary range.
