Many government litigators spend years investigating, prosecuting or defending cases that implicate serious civil or criminal misconduct. When considering moving to a private civil practice, they may not want to shelve that valuable experience and start over in totally unfamiliar terrain. If you feel this tension as you look to find a better practice, Goodell DeVries is the best fit for you. We want litigators who can apply their experience to high-stakes private civil litigation.
The Supreme Court of Maryland recently upheld the General Assembly's revival of historic, decades-old claims by victims of child sexual abuse-including claims against non-perpetrators, such as private schools, non-profit youth organizations, and other charitable organizations. Goodell DeVries is seeking litigators who are prepared to investigate and defend cases brought against these valuable institutions. You should have at least 3-5 years of experience in investigating, prosecuting, and/or defending criminal or civil matters.
Goodell attorneys enjoy a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, the potential for performance-based bonuses, a great work environment, an on-site fitness center, in-building parking, and maternity/paternity benefits.
Expected Salary Range: $120,000-$150,000 depending on experience.
