Role Description
Chan + Punzalan is seeking a litigation attorney with at least 5 years of extensive experience in complex civil or business-related litigation in federal and state courts. The attorney will handle all aspects of the firm's civil litigation practice, with a particular focus in disputes involving commercial matters, founder disagreements, trade secret misappropriation, copyright infringement, and trademark disputes. The attorney's responsibilities will also include:
- Working with a team of attorneys and legal staff (litigation) on case strategy, caseload management, hearing and trial preparation, client communication and legal research/writing.
- Appearing at court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
- Communicating with clients and opposing counsel.
- Drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of litigation experience
- California law license
- Proficiency in drafting and filing Motions
- Familiarity with Courts and trial procedures
- Experience with Trials and courtroom representation
- Experience in conducting Depositions
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
