Litigation Attorney
Location: Manhattan Beach, CA
Pay Rate: $70 to $85 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time, Contract or Contract-to-Hire, Hybrid (3 Days Onsite)
LHH is working with a Civil Litigation firm in Manhattan Beach, CA, seeking a skilled Contract Litigation Attorney. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation, with at least 3+ years of experience handling pleadings, motions, discovery, and document review. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking for a dynamic work environment with the potential for a long-term role.
Responsibilities:
Legal Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough legal research to develop case strategies and support litigation.
Pleadings & Motions: Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, and other court documents in a timely manner.
Discovery Management: Draft and respond to discovery requests, handle depositions, and participate in discovery-related proceedings.
Document Review: Analyze and review documents for case relevance, accuracy, and strategic importance.
Case Strategy & Client Communication: Assist in developing case strategies and communicate effectively with clients regarding case progress.
Qualifications:
Bar Admission: Active member in good standing with the California State Bar.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in civil litigation defense, preferably in insurance defense, commercial litigation, or general liability.
Legal Skills: Strong knowledge of California civil procedure, court rules, and litigation strategies.
Writing & Research: Excellent legal research and writing skills with experience drafting pleadings and motions.
Discovery Experience: Ability to manage discovery requests, review documents, and prepare for depositions.
Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with legal research tools, case management software, and e-discovery platforms.
Work Ethic: Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently while collaborating with a legal team.
Pay Details: $70.00 to $85.00 per hour
