We are seeking a Litigation Attorney with a minimum of 2-5 years of personal injury experience.


Responsibilities:



• Propound and respond to discovery


• Draft discovery motions


• Draft oppositions to motions for summary judgments


• Draft complaints, pleadings, mediation briefs, and other litigation documents as necessary


• Comply with the statute of limitations


• Prepare and file government claims


• Represent clients in court proceedings and hearings


• Prepare for, take, and defend depositions


• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases


• Stay informed about changes in legislation and case law


• Conduct legal research using resources such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis


• Attend State and Federal court hearings as required


• Assist Lead Attorney with maintenance of heavy case load ensuring all cases move forward in a timely manner and within deadlines


• Provide excellent service to all clients


• Prepare for a Second Chair Trials


Qualifications:


• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school


• Admission to California State Bar


• 2-3 years' experience in personal injury (PI) related cases, whether on the plaintiff or defense side of the docket


• Strong knowledge of Personal Injury Law


• Proficiency in legal research and writing


• Experience with legal drafting and document review


• Experience in personal injury cases, such as auto collisions, motorcycle collisions, wrongful death, premises liability, and insurance disputes.
