An established civil litigation defense firm with a national presence is seeking a Litigation Associate for its Portland office. This role is ideal for a motivated attorney looking to handle meaningful work early on and grow within a high-performing team.
Responsibilities:
- Handle civil litigation matters including professional liability, product liability, and transportation defense
- Draft pleadings, discovery responses, and motions
- Conduct depositions and appear in court
- Assist with trial preparation and strategy development
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients throughout all stages of litigation
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor and active license to practice in Oregon
- 1+ years of civil litigation experience
- Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills
- Comfortable managing deadlines and working independently
- Experience with federal court practice preferred
