Civil litigation firm has an opening in its Orlando and Jacksonville offices for a litigation associate.


Role Description


The litigation associate will work on cases and claims involving construction defects. The ideal candidate will take an active role in developing and implementing legal strategy and takes pride in delivering exceptionally thorough and persuasive legal memoranda, analysis and reasoning. The litigation associate will perform legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and legal briefs, as well as represent clients in depositions and court/arbitration proceedings.

The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and analytical abilities and 2-5 years of civil litigation experience. Prior construction defect experience is preferred, but not required. Excellent academic credentials required. Competitive base compensation, generous bonus package, and substantial benefits are offered.


Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the Florida Bar Association
  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Experience drafting pleadings, motions, and legal briefs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously
  • Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and staff
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil litigation (preferred)
