Trustpoint.one has partnered with a Nationally-Recognized Injury Law Firm in their search to find a Litigation Attorney to support one of their top trial attorneys with a heavy caseload involving security, premises liability, and large-scale corporate litigation. The Litigation Attorney will play a key role in preparing for multiple upcoming trials, handling everything from drafting motions to coordinating with courts and law enforcement.
This position has potential for on-site/hybrid capabilities, but preferred candidates would be available to be onsite for trial in Irvine, CA.
The expected duration of this assignment is at least 1 year and the client is looking to hire IMMEDATELY. The expected weekly hours of the assignment are 20-30/week.
The ideal candidate for the Litigation Paralegal role will demonstrate strong understanding of the procedures of Los Angeles courts, thrive in a high-stakes trial preparation environment, and be able to provide proactive support at various stages of the litigation process. This role balances both paralegal and administrative work and requires someone who can quickly get up to speed, ensuring seamless trial preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in all facets of trial preparation, assuming cases will go to trial.
- Prepare pre-trial documents, Motions for Summary Judgment (MSJs), exhibits, and filings.
- Schedule and coordinate with local courts (LA & Orange County) to ensure compliance with judicial preferences.
- Work closely with the local police force as needed.
- Maintain case files, manage deadlines, and assist with attorney's workload.
Qualifications:
- Strong grasp of California law and court procedures.
- Excellent motion and response writing abilities.
- Able to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities.
- Able to jump in and take charge with minimal oversight.
- Comfortable interacting with courts, police departments, and legal teams.
- Experience with Litify case management software is a plus.
- Must have an active and in good standing bar license in a US state.
