Civil Litigation Associate (Salary + Quarterly bonus)
Tallant Howell is a reputable law firm located in Cumming, Georgia. The firm is growing and looking to hire a personable, driven, and talented litigation attorney to become part of the team. A successful candidate will be a proactive individual with outstanding writing abilities and a proven interest in litigation. The caseload will encompass Fiduciary Litigation, Property Litigation, Business Litigation, and Government Litigation.
The perfect candidate should possess two to five years of experience in one or more of the previously mentioned areas. The salary will be based on the individual's experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Represent businesses and individuals on a variety of legal matters.
- Handle important contract disputes.
- Provide knowledgeable and relatable input to assigned cases.
- Show a great attention to detail and communication with client and primary attorney on the case.
- Work on real property disputes.
- Assist with Government representation.
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Provide support in case management.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Georgia State Bar and in good standing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Lexis+.
- Microsoft suite skillset.
- Self-starter who exhibits a sense of urgency on behalf of client's needs.
- Effectively prioritize work and business needs.
- Excellent oral, interpersonal, and writing skills in English.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet urgent deadlines.
