Temporary Litigation Assistant


Location: San Francisco, CA

Job Type: Full-Time, Onsite, Contract (3+ Month Assignment) - Possibility to convert to Direct Hire

Compensation: $30 - $40 per hour


LHH is working with an international firm in seeking a highly skilled Temporary Litigation Assistant to support attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment. This onsite role in San Francisco is a 3+ Month Assignment offering $30-$40 per hour with the opportunity to convert to direct hire. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in insurance defense or coverage litigation and be well-versed in Federal and California court procedures.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with all aspects of litigation, including discovery, court filings, calendaring, and trial preparation.
  • Manage and coordinate electronic filings in Federal and California courts.
  • Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents with a high level of accuracy.
  • Maintain case files, track deadlines, and support attorneys with scheduling and docketing.
  • Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, and court personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience supporting multiple attorneys in litigation defense.
  • Extensive knowledge of Federal and California electronic court filing systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams).
  • Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to complete tasks efficiently while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Prior experience in insurance defense or coverage litigation preferred.
