Temporary Litigation Assistant

Job Type: Full-Time, Onsite, Contract (1-2 Month Assignment)
Compensation: $30 - $40 per hour
LHH is working with an international firm in seeking a highly skilled Temporary Litigation Assistant to support attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment. This onsite role in San Francisco is a 1-2 Month Assignment offering $30-$40 per hour. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in insurance defense or coverage litigation and be well-versed in Federal and California court procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of litigation, including discovery, court filings, calendaring, and trial preparation.
- Manage and coordinate electronic filings in Federal and California courts.
- Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents with a high level of accuracy.
- Maintain case files, track deadlines, and support attorneys with scheduling and docketing.
- Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, and court personnel.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience supporting multiple attorneys in litigation defense.
- Extensive knowledge of Federal and California electronic court filing systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams).
- Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to complete tasks efficiently while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Prior experience in insurance defense or coverage litigation preferred.
