We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join our client's growing team in their beautiful San Diego office. This role requires hands-on e-filing experience, strong administrative skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and experienced supporting attorneys within Labor & Employment as well M&A.
Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of e-filing, including state and federal court filings.
- Monitor and respond to calls and emails, ensuring timely communication and follow-ups.
- Maintain and update attorney calendars, coordinate meetings, and schedule court appearances.
- Open new client matters, process conflict of interest checks, and manage related documentation.
- Assist with timekeeping, billing, and basic accounting tasks to support the firm's financial processes.
- Step in to assist with receptionist duties, including greeting clients and handling office coordination when needed.
- Work closely with attorneys across Litigation, M&A, Venture Capital, Global Finance, and Labor & Employment practices to ensure seamless administrative support.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of California litigation legal secretary experience.
- Experience in both transactional and litigation would be preferred.
- Must have direct experience with e-filing and be comfortable handling court filings independently.
- Strong ability to assess and prioritize urgent tasks while managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
- A proactive and team-oriented mindset, with a willingness to assist in various administrative and office tasks.
