Roles and Responsibilities: - Linux support (RHEL/RHEL/Ubuntu-related Product, such as IDM/Satellite/Centrify/Tanium etc.)
- Drive best practices for operational policies and procedures, including communication, change, and incident management
- Establishing an ecosystem for Linux environments based on best patching and security practices
- Day-to-day operations in dynamic on-premises environments
- Maintain customer-facing, mission-critical 24/7 production services
- Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot operating systems, networks, and applications
- Perform regularly scheduled maintenance and upgrades, including instance patching and replacement.
- Provide infrastructure-level support for Production, Development, and QA environments
- Participate in an on-call rotation
- Build Infrastructure for applications with end-to-end automation using tools like Terraform, Ansible, etc.
- Writing deployment scripts, debugging application issues, and evaluating new technologies.
- Delivering 12x7 operations through a customer-focused approach including responding to production alerts.
- Implementing system-level and application performance monitoring metrics using various monitoring tools like Elastic search, Nagios, Icinga, and Logic Monitor.
- Documentation and review of standards and operational procedures for infrastructure and enabling team members to support infrastructure.
Skill/Job Requirements: - 8+ years of experience with Linux (Ubuntu and RHEL, all other Linux flavors or Windows are HUGE PLUS)
- Good grasp of fundamental security concepts with hands-on experience in implementing security controls and compliance requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work well in a dynamic, collaborative team environment
- Working knowledge of risk management and standards.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related degree, required.
