Title: Linux Systems Admin Onsite Location: Aurora, CO Required: TS/SCI w/Poly Long Term W2 hourly Contract Rate Range: $65 to $89.50 per Hour DOE Depending on Benefits Chosen This position requires DOD TS/SCI w/Poly Clearance and active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification This Monday thru Friday 8 am to 5 pm role is located in Aurora, Colorado. No C2C, we can NOT work with outside agencies/vendors, and we can NOT do 1099- Seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to develop, implement and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems. Required Qualifications: Current TS/SCI w/Poly clearance.
Typically requires bachelor's degree and minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or a master's degree and minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience
Must have an active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (or higher) on start date. IAT Level 2 requires one or more of the following Professional Certifications: Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, CND
Must have experience administering Red Hat Linux based systems
Must have Linux experience.
Must have scripting experience
Requires the ability to effectively interact with external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations and vendors.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with patching, creating/maintaining RPM packages
Experience with performance tuning, networking, user management (LDAP), and security hardening
Administer, maintain and troubleshoot Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket)
Experience with Jenkins automation
Configuration of Scanning tools Nessus/McAfee
Proficiency with Enterprise level administration of common services such as DNS and LDAP
Strong analytic and research skills - must be detail oriented
Demonstrated ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with efficiency
Responsibilities: Provide IT systems administration of RedHat Enterprise Linux environments.
Understanding and knowledge of Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods. Working as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).
Understanding of data RAID, data backup uses and technologies. Install and configure software applications requested by end users. Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.
Must be able to develop solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems.
Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.
Travel required to other US Domestic locations as business needs dictate up to 5% travel.
Full time 100% Onsite position.
