Become a part of something IMPACT-ful. Ground Missile Defense (GMD) is the heart of the Missile Defense System and a key element of our nation's defense against ballistic missile attacks. The GMD Weapon System (GWS) processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat. The Work The Linux System Admin maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space. They will interact with users and evaluate vendor products as well as make recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinate installation and provide backup recovery. In addition they will develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. Who We Are

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math discipline
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with Systems Administration for Linux Operating Systems such as RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Must have a DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification (ex: Security + CE)
• Active U.S. DoD Secret Security clearance
Desired Skills:
• Experience with DevOps architecture such as Kubernetes, Nexus, Docker, GitLab, etc.
• Experience with security compliance and related security scanning products (ACAS)
• Experience in enterprise backup and restore solutions, storage area network (SAN), and network attached storage (NAS)
• Experience with scripting using tools such as Python, Perl, Bash, PowerShell, etc.
• Experience with network administration and related infrastructure
• Experience with hardware installation and maintenance to include firmware upgrades
• Candidate must demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
