Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a qualified
Linux Platform Engineer to support a federal program in the Annapolis, MD area. The
Linux Platform Engineer will lead the deployment and upkeep of various platforms that support multiple applications.
Responsibilities of the Linux Platform Engineer: - Monitor and enhance platform performance, applying corrective measures as needed
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and develop security-based incident response plans
- Configure and manage host-based security systems and utilize monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, IBM NetCool, and Solarwinds
- Implement and support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) within RHEL containers
- Maintain systems using Red Hat Satellite Server
- Provide assistance for both server and workstation hardware
Qualifications of the Linux Platform Engineer: - 10+ years of experience working in related field
- Extensive experience with OpenShift and On-Prem Infrastructure (required)
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration , Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), and/or Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) required
- Experience with Linux and AWS Cloud
- Must hold ACTIVE Secret clearance
Compensation for the Linux Platform Engineer: - Salary: $120,000 - $130,000 commensurate of experience
