We are seeking a motivated
Linux Cloud Administrator to join our team supporting a Government customer in Chantilly, VA. In this role, you'll perform platform operations, sustainment engineering, and systems administration while continuously improving functionality, monitoring, and resource optimization for a cloud based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in cloud-based resources (particularly AWS), exceptionally proficient working with a Linux operating system environment, skilled in troubleshooting, and implementing access control policies. You'll also support automation efforts, implement DevSecOps practices, and maintain CI/CD pipelines. Strong documentation skills and the ability to propose process improvements are essential. This is an on-site position.
In this position, you can expect to: - Improve system, platform, and applications operations and functionality, monitoring, and optimization of resources.
- Conduct continuous monitoring activities as required.
- Continually seek to improve components functionality, security, etc., and proactively make recommendations in that regard.
- Support cybersecurity taskers, initiatives, activities, and/or actions as required.
- Support maintenance of the accreditations to include performing routine STIGing of system components, POA&M remediation, etc.
- Execute and maintain appropriate configuration management activities and best practices to ensure accountability and documentation of system resources.
- Minimize downtown during peak hours and upgrades and installs planned to occur outside of the peak times the mission users need to access the environments.
- Configure, deploy, improve and administer cloud-based resources and cloud native resources, specifically AWS.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to the operating system(s), infrastructure, platform, network components and software, as they arise.
- Administer access control and identity and access management policies and best practices to ensure the security and integrity of the system, platforms and its components.
- Document and propose improvements to business processes workflows.
- Support efforts to automate application deployment and other administrative tasks
- Administer application/software version upgrades, patches, remediate and fix vulnerabilities or other issues as they arise.
- Integrate DevSecOps tools and services to enable an automated pipeline that supports customer applications throughout their SDLC.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications: - Minimum 3 years working performing systems administration in a Linux environment
- Prior experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC)
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and vulnerability management
- Experience with monitoring and optimization of system resources
- Proven ability working in system administration role supporting a wide variety of software applications.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of networking concepts and protocols
- Exceptional communication skills and desire to work in a 'badgeless" collaborative team environment consisting of Government clients, other Contractors, and Stakeholders
- Strong desire to work in team environment and learn new skills
- Existing Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
- B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, or technical degree or industry experience equivalent
