Job Summary

The Linux Administrator ensures efficient, strategic use of core platforms, services, and technologies which provide foundational technical services to the business. This role provides analysis, development, and operational support of servers, storage, virtualization, and networking solutions, including defining, analyzing, creating, and supporting new services or solutions, modification and development of new functionality (either as enhancements or as green-field development within an infrastructure ecosystem), system integration, testing, maintenance, monitoring, and operational oversight of assigned solutions and services, independently or in cooperation with other technology teams, to advance business objectives.


Essential Job Functions

  • Design, build, maintain, and provide level 2+ support for Linux (RH and OEL)
  • Ability to automate day to day administrative task and monthly maintenance
  • Collaborate with additional IT teams, such as Security, Development, IDAM, Network, MSP, DevOps, and contractors
  • Follow ITSM process and procedure for change management and incidence response by using Jira and Ivanti
  • Conduct root cause analysis for service disruption and help implement preventive measures
  • Create, enhance and maintain documentations for continuous improvement
  • Develop project sustainment mechanisms including reports, auditing capabilities, or changes that need to occur in other processes, systems, role definitions, etc.
  • Reporting on a weekly or monthly basis (KPIs and Metrics) to maintain and enhance it's efficiency and reliability of the systems
  • Capability of prioritizing issues and collaborating with multiple teams to achieve swift resolution
  • Responsible for maintaining highest level of customer satisfaction across the company

Required Skills

  • Hands on experience with Azure, AWS, and SAS applications
  • Linux OS (Red Hat and OEL)

Preferred Skills

  • Hands on experience with past and present Windows Server operating systems
  • Experience with network and security environment is beneficial
  • Scripting with Python or Linux shell
  • Knowledge and understanding of SAN environment

Minimum Qualifications

  • College degree in Computer Science or related field and/or relevant industry certifications or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of direct technical IT experience
  • 7+ years of strong planning and organizing skills including the ability to manage several work streams simultaneously


Salary Range - $110,000 - $130,000/year

This is an estimated range based on the circumstances at the time of posting, however, may change based on a combination of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, education, market factors, geographical location, budget, and demand
