Linux Administrator

Job Description:
We are seeking a Linux Administrator with 4 to 8 years of experience in Kubernetes, Jenkins, Docker Administration, KVM, VMware Administration, Ansible, Linux Admin (RHEL/SLES/OEL), and Oracle Linux Administration. Should have a strong background in Linux system administration, performance tuning and troubleshooting. The candidate will play a crucial role in designing and implementing robust architecture solutions to drive our company's technological advancements.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintaining the stability, integrity, and security of Linux systems across various environments, including production, staging, and development.

• Design, implement, and maintain Linux-based operating systems across physical and virtual environments.

• Strong command-line skills and knowledge of Linux internals (filesystems, processes, memory management).

• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of infrastructure.

• Apply system updates, patches, and configuration changes.

• Manage and maintain user access controls, file permissions, and system logs.

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.

• Automate routine tasks using shell scripts, Ansible, or similar tools.

• Support deployment processes and integrate with CI/CD pipelines where necessary.

• Collaborate with other IT and software teams to meet infrastructure needs.

• Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.

• Participate in on-call rotation for system emergencies and critical outages.

• Experience with automation/configuration tools (e.g., Bash, Python, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef).

• Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls).

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, ELK stack).

• Knowledge of virtualization/container platforms (e.g., VMware, KVM, Docker).

• Understanding of security best practices and hardening techniques.

Qualifications:

• 4 to 8 years of experience in Kubernetes, Jenkins, Docker Administration, KVM, VMware Administration, Ansible, Linux Admin (RHEL/CentOS/OEL), and Oracle Linux Administration.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.

• Experience in designing and implementing scalable architecture solutions.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Proficiency in automation tools like Ansible for configuration management.

• Deep understanding of Linux system administration and optimization.

• Ability to manage virtual environments using KVM and VMware.

• Experience in continuous integration and deployment using Jenkins.

• Knowledgeable in containerization technologies like Docker.

• Ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

• Strong documentation skills for maintaining architecture designs and system configurations.
