The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Linux-based systems and networks to ensure high availability, security, and performance. This includes installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Linux operating systems, network devices, and related software. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Linux administration, networking protocols, and security best practices.
Basic Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in Linux system administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)
1+ year of experience in networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols)
Strong understanding of Linux command-line interfaces, scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python), and automation tools (e.g., Ansible)
Experience with network device configuration and management (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls)
Familiarity with security best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, DISA STIGs)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in Linux system administration and networking
Advanced knowledge of Linux kernel tuning, performance optimization, and troubleshooting
Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Certification in Linux administration (e.g., RHCE, LPIC) or networking (e.g., CCNA, CCNP)
Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git)
Strong understanding of data security and encryption technologies (e.g., SSL/TLS, IPsec)
