Role: Linux Admin

Location: Santa Clara, CA (Onsite)

Visa: USC, GC, GC EAD,

Job Responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain the Red Hat RHEL 7.x operating system
• Install and maintain all Linux user account management
• Analyze and resolve problems associated with the operating system's servers, hardware, Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software applications
• Maintain a 24x7x365 Linux Infrastructure environment
• Monitor server performance and ensure compliance with security standards using standard Linux tools as well as command-line interface tools
• Create and modify scripts or applications to perform repetitive tasks
• Have some familiarity with IBM Load Sharing Facility (LSF) software
• Be able to work effectively in a team-building environment with flexibility
• Be able to write effective, job reports on all job-related activity

Job Requirements

• 6+ years of working experience as a Linux Administrator
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent
• At least one level of Red Hat Linux certification
• Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP and SMNP
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, hardware, and networks
• Operating Systems: Linux (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu)
• Version Control: SVN, GitLab
• Scripting and Automation: Bash, Python, Ansible
• Applications: SOS, Jira, Confluence.
• EDA Applications: Knowledge of how EDA applications work and IBM LSF job scheduler

Mandarin-speaking candidates are a plus.
