SUMMARY:

Line Cooks are responsible for serving meals by reviewing recipes, assembling, combining, and cooking ingredients all while maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen. The cook is a key part in the guests dining experience by maintaining food quality and executing food production in accordance with standards of plating guide specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Attends to the detail and presentation of every order.
  • Prepares ingredients by following recipes; cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping, and mixing ingredients; adding seasoning; verifying taste and plating meals.
  • Completes hot meal preparation by grilling, sauteing and frying ingredients and assembling and refrigerating cold ingredients.
  • Adheres to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Maintains temperature logs to assure equipment is working correctly.
  • Maintains appropriate dating, labeling and rotation of all food items.
  • Stores all food according to established standards.
  • Completes cleaning according to daily and weekly schedules.
  • Cooking food orders in a timely manner.
  • Handling multiple food orders at one time.
  • Ability to take orders from a computerized system.
  • Setting up, cleaning, and organizing workstations.

  • Able to use hands and fingers to feel.
  • Able to move equipment which would include pushing pulling, bending, and lifting.
  • Able to stand, walk, crouch, crawl, kneel, or stoop.
  • Able to walk quickly to/from job locations up to 200 feet
  • Able to regularly lift/and or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have good hearing and visual acuity to observe equipment, The Funplex guests, etc.
  • Able to read and understand daily checklists, rules and regulations.
  • Able to speak to give verbal instructions to guests and other employees.
  • Able to work in a considerably noisy environment from equipment and amusements rides.
  • Able to perform work duties outside in carrying weather conditions prevalent at the times.
  • Requires early arrivals and or/late night departures.
Line Cook requirements and qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
Rate: $16/hr

Lahn Hospitality Group is a growing family-owned company comprised of a variety of hospitality businesses including amusement parks, a hotel, restaurants, bars, golf courses and more.

Since 1997, The Funplex has owned and operated an amusement park company with two locations along the East Coast. The parks are a combination of family-friendly and thrill amusement rides, waterparks, bowling centers, and arcades.

In December 2021, Lahn Hospitality Group purchased The Legacy Club in Cherry Hill, NJ, a country club with a prestigious golf course and membership. The club underwent significant renovation including a new restaurant, atrium event facility, and much more. In the fall of 2023 LHAG opened its first dual branded hotel, La Quinta and Hawthorn Suites, complete with 125 rooms and the first in the area to combine two different Wyndham brands.
