Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Line Cook As a Line Cook, you play a crucial role in meal preparation, following standardized recipes and safety guidelines. Under the guidance of the dining services coordinator/manager, contribute to a positive dining experience by consistently delivering high-quality, safe, and appetizing meals.
Responsibilities: - Prepare and cook meals following standardized recipes and safety guidelines.
- Ensure proper portioning and serving of food at specified mealtimes.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Respond to dining room issues promptly during meal service.
- Label and date all food items in storage areas.
- Oversee food handling to prevent contamination and reduce costs.
- Suggest menu or recipe changes to minimize waste.
- Clean all kitchen equipment and storage areas regularly.
Qualifications: - ServSafe Certification.
- Previous experience as a line cook in a similar setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
