Full-time and Part-time Line Cooks - $15.00-20.00/hr Availability Evenings & Weekends Required

JOB SUMMARY

The Line Cook at Alcove prepares various dishes with care and consistency, following recipes exactly while maintaining high standards for taste, quality, and presentation. They work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment, keeping their station clean and organized while collaborating with both kitchen and front-of-house teams to create exceptional guest experiences. They will be an avid MadTree ambassador who lives the behaviors - Connect, Grow, and Give a F ck.

We're looking for people with 1+ year experience as a cook in a restaurant or food service environment, and some of your responsibilities will include:
  • Execute menu items with precision and consistency, maintaining high standards for taste, quality, and presentation.
  • Manage your station during service, coordinating timing with other line cooks to ensure smooth service flow to the main restaurant.
  • Follow recipes for each dish exactly while applying advanced culinary techniques.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure experiences that exceed our guests expectations.
  • Communicate with your fellow cooks, dishwashers, food runners and leadership throughout your shift and on the line to ensure everyone is on the same page and working together.
  • Spend up to 16 hours per year volunteering (paid) for MadTree Impact initiatives with excitement, encouraging your teammates to do the same.
Skills that will help you to be successful within this role:
  • Culinary Craftsperson: Masters techniques, timing, and presentation while maintaining consistency in the quality of their dishes.
  • Works Well Under Pressure: can handle the fast pace of a busy kitchen environment, without losing focus or quality.
  • Cooking Knowledge: understands how to prepare and present various food types and cooking styles.
  • Recipe Reader: follows recipes precisely to ensure dishes meet our standards every time.
  • Attention to Detail: recognizes that small details matter in creating exceptional food experiences.

The pay range for this role is:

15 - 20 USD per hour (Alcove)
