No long nights in the kitchen. We are looking for Full time and Part time, hours range from 5:30am-2:00pm and 10:30am-6:30pm. As a line cook you would be expected to
- Assist with the preparation, seasoning and cooking of all salads, soups, fish, meats, vegetables, dessert and all other foods
- Communicate and work efficiently with other dietary and healthcare staff to ensure accuracy in a fast paced, high stress environment
- Adhere to all food handling and hygiene practices
- Accurately estimate quantities of food required and utilize leftovers properly to reduce waste
- Prepare restaurant quality, nutritionally balanced and attractively served meals, our goal is to provide the best food and service for our residents.
Minimum Qualifications: - High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prior cooking experience and knowledge of special diets
- Ability to prepare and cook a variety of foods in large quantities
